
A popular columnist on www.greatandhra.com Prasad is a writer, translator, editor, RJ and a TV anchor. He writes short stories, features and essays both in English and Telugu and 24 of his books are in market. An associate of Sri K.Varaprasad Reddy of Shantha Biotechnics, he resigned his bank job to join as managing editor of “Haasam” a Telugu fortnightly for Humor and Music. Their “Haasam” publications published 27 books so far, latest being “Kothi Kommachi”, layout and design of which goes to Prasad’s credit.
Being ardent fan of Bapu-Ramana, he has edited the 8-volume “Mullapudi Sahiti Sarwaswam” and has even translated some of Mullapudi’s works into English. This apart, Prasad has Bapu-Ramana’s foreword and cover design for his “Achalapathi Kathalu” - an anthology of short stories based on Wodehousean characters - Jeeves and Wooster - a tribute to his contribution to Mullapudi’s work.
Mr. Prasad has presented a weekly program “Padakkurchi Kaburlu” on Worldspace Satellite Radio and is currently scripting and anchoring a program on “Vanita TV” called “Idee Asalu Katha” - demonstrating how Telugu filmmakers have improvised upon original Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, English films while remaking them in Telugu.
